I suggest adding a napalm strike in the game, also more jets as well as a altitude button that stabilizes the altitude for the helicopters like in other games. I only play with the airplanes because of that!!!! Also the terrain is trash, there is a helicopter game called air Calvary and I suggest taken there helicopter controls because they work amazing but air Calvary also has a pretty big but detailed maps that are I have no idea big.
So please take my ideas into consternation, I love you games, besides wings of duty sorry. First off this is one of the only games I play purely because it is so much fun and exciting. Second, if multiplayer servers are kicking you, it is due to a bad network connection. Restart your router by unplugging it and waiting 60 seconds, then plug it back in. Hope I helped. Right click on the icon, then hit troubleshoot compatibility. Windows takes it from there. When installing, make note of the file path. You will need to know later.
Once you have installed the first disk, it will prompt you for the second disk, like normal. Now mount the second disk from the file.
It will finish the installation. Once the installation is complete, go ahead and run the 3. The game should run when you try to launch it at this point. Hope this works! Have a lot of fun! Have had both games on cd and can not get them to load same as world at war call of duty. Some Help 0 point. If anyone is having troubles with the "insert CD 2" what I found that works is using a program like PowerISO to mount the disks like another comment here However, once you extract the first disk ISO, and run the Setup.
It worked for me! Veltgord 0 point. Brightstreak 0 point. Nothing works. The Don 0 point. I downloaded everything, did the compatibility mode for Windows XP, but If i start it the admin thing shows up i press on yes anf nothing happens. Swee 0 point. AWildHobo 10 points.
To everyone wondering how to install, you will need a free program like PowerISO. Once you have that installed and your PC restarted, you will right click the first disc to mount it to a drive. After that open the drive like you would any other, find the setup. When it prompts for disc 2, mount the second file on the same drive you mounted the first. Return to the installer and hit OK.
Once the game finishes installing remember to set the game to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP. The game works fine for me on windows 10 following these settings and even displays in x KGB Chairman -4 points.
Chris 0 point. Impossible to install. Prompts for "CD 2" then when you click the other file, nothing happens. Pile of shit. I downloaded the CFS3, however there is no setup file with it. Archived from the original on August 18, The graphics continue to improve in the series, and object detail is nice. The damage effects are the best yet in the series, with engine fires and smoke helping to identify damage levels. The ground looks better with the abundance of trees in forests and is much more convincing at low levels with weather effects leaving snow or water everywhere. Strike fighters have a nice visual enhancement when strafing ground targets with CFS3's zoomable view.
At higher magnifications through the targeting sight, the view looks a lot like old war footage where tracers can be seen reaching and crossing the guns' convergence points and scattering among the target, leaving impact signs as they hit. Ground targets also look better, and ships, tanks, trucks, and structures are easily identified. These targets also have damage effects and can expel smoke or explode. The death sequence of the ships is particularly well done, with explosions followed by a listing and sinking, and ultimately an oil slick left in the water.
The price for all this is the usual; CFS3 is less forgiving on slower hardware and really prefers a strong video card. There's also a role-playing element in the campaign. The player's alter ego in the game earns experience points, can gain levels, and can earn points to spend increasing their skills such as vision or g-tolerance. Along with the aforementioned squadron points, the role-playing can add a little more player involvement for those that like such features.
Tying in with the increased emphasis on the air-to-ground role, CFS3's allied fighters are all steeds also known for strike duty, such as the P Thunderbolt, the P Mustang, the Typhoon, and the P Lightning. All nationalities gain medium bombers such as the B and B, and the inclusion of the rarely modeled Junkers Ju88 and DeHavilland Mosquito are fine additions to the series.
Players can man the bombardier and defensive gunner stations on these aircraft in addition to piloting them. There aren't any heavy bombers yet, and this really hurts the German campaign, as the German fighter pilots on the western front spent a lot of time trying to knock down the heavies. The sim's attempt to take the players beyond the stretch of the real war is seen in the inclusion of several experimental craft like the German Dornier , and the American P55, and jets like the amazing Gotha flying wing, the P 80 Shooting Star, and the Vampire.
These remarkable craft are featured in CFS3's selection of "what if" missions. Sadly, the flight models in CFS3 aren't as accurate as we expected. Aircraft can stall, but throwing them into a spin takes some real effort, especially with the jets. The documentation comes in digital format on the CD, which is unfortunate as most flight sim fans appreciate a printed manual. On the bright side, there are several digital manuals and each is nicely decorated with a nostalgic sepia tone and photos, and features historical anecdotes.
Multiplayer doesn't appear to use the Microsoft Gaming Zone as earlier CFS games did, and the change has both positives and negatives.
