In my experience as an editor and colorist, shooters tend to rush to LOG thinking grading in post will make all the difference when, in fact, having shot in LOG in the field just tricked their eyes into thinking the color balance was accurate and the exposure was perfect. Time stretch slow motion to its maximal rate. If necessary, do a very slight color correction for individual clips with built in tools in FCP X or Premier. This is only to bring them online with each other. Export I use Compressor with default settings for 24p, almost never 60p, which I will time stretch for future use of slow motion with date, title, and context to appropriate codec - for important stuff or grading or bigger image correction, use ProRes - for SOOC domestic things, I like the compressed p or 4K for web sharing as a "stable" backup.
